**Tools are sharpened in 3–5 days with rush options available. We offer pickup and hand-delivery within 100 miles of South Elgin, IL (e.g. Chicagoland, Milwaukee, Rockford). Discounts are available for large volume orders. Large or unique tools are subject to additional charges.

A PGM 165 Gear Measurement System runs CNC analytical inspection on every tool, confirming it returns to original quality after sharpening.

We sharpen every tool on KFS CNC gear tool sharpening machines, built for rigidity and precise, repeatable grinding.
Superior tool life by design.
Helios gear cutting tools come in high speed steel, MC90, and carbide to match the part and the cut. Our fine-pitch carbide tools are ground to hold tooth profile accuracy nearly the full length of the tooth, without altering flute widths, so each one cuts more parts and resharpens more times than a typical tool.

- Wet grinding on free-cutting CBN and diamond wheels, preventing heat micro cracking for an excellent surface finish
- CNC crown dressing of vitrified wheels for helical gash hobs, to 35 degrees of gash lead on straight, helical, or shank-type tools
