Helios broaches are top quality:
Offered in carbide or high-speed steel (HSS) materials for splines and serrations. High-volume applications are best, such as those in the automotive, aerospace, and speed reducer markets.

Helios gear cutting tools come in high-speed steel, MC90, and carbide to match the part and the cut. Our fine-pitch carbide tools are ground to hold tooth profile accuracy nearly the full length of the tooth, without altering flute widths, so each one cuts more parts, resharpens more times, and lasts longer than typical carbide tools.
Coatings extend tool life further. The Oerlikon Balzers Balinit® line includes TiN, TiAlN, AlCrN, and the latest-generation Altensa, each adding wear resistance for tougher cuts. AlTiCrN, AlCrTiN, and TiAlCN from Voestalpine Eifeler Coatings are also available.
