Michael Weas Promoted to Senior Applications Engineer
We are proud to announce the promotion of Michael Weas to Senior Applications Engineer. Since joining Helios, Michael has blended deep technical insight with a customer-first mindset to equip gear manufacturers for profitable production.
The industry took notice of Michael's leadership when the American Gear Manufacturers Association presented him with its 2024 Next Generation Award during the Strategic Networking & Leadership Forum in Milwaukee.
The honor recognizes emerging professionals who advance the gear community through innovation and integrity. AGMA highlighted Michael's success in multiplying our cutting-tool business, guiding the mechanical design of the Helios KFS tool sharpening machine, and creating tailored tooling and automation solutions that help customers tackle challenging applications.

In his new role Michael will stay focused on matching each customer's application with the most effective cutting tool technology, whether premium hobs, shaper cutters, or specialized skiving tools, so they can achieve higher throughput, longer tool life, and lower cost per part.
